Beside the scenic nature reserve „Achstürze-Piburgersee“ Seehüter’s Hotel Seerose stands for traditional hospitality. Since 1776 the house belongs to the family and was opened up as a hotel in 1924. Well-known as “Seehüter” the farm house was transformed into a pub with beds for overnight stay. Great-grandmother Johanna together with her nine children ran the business until 1951. Hilda and Thomas Plattner then took over and modernised the pub and established the Hotel Seerose.
Since 1984 Siegfried and Monika Plattner together with their children Verena and Clemens took over. The names may have changed over the years but not the fundamental motto of the house – to serve the guests and pay attention to every single guest’s needs as well as the responsibility towards tradition. Consequently, the old house name “Seehüter” was reintegrated. In 1776, Michael Plattner, care-taker of the Piburgersee, bought the “Seehüter’s” from the monastery Stams. The responsibility towards this unique and scenic landscape goes back until these days.

Seehüter’s Hotel Seerose has 31 comfortable and well-equipped comfort rooms. All rooms are equipped with shower/bath room, balcony, Sat-TV, radio and telephone. We politely would like to inform our guests that smoking in the rooms and the dining hall is not allowed. Free bus and car parking are available for our guests. Additionally, garages for your car, motor-bike or bike can be rented. We also dispose of a play room, sandbox and play ground for our little guest. In the neighbourhood of the café-restaurant you will find snooker- and football tables (extra charge). The ping-pong facilities are situated near the fitness room. In the garden, there is a lawn in the shade of the old fruit trees.

We pamper our guests in our cafe-restaurant or our chef „Hans – since 1985“ serves you regional, national and international dishes. You can enjoy your meals in our generous dining hall. In summer food is served on the nearby terrace. Every day, there is a huge salad buffet (fresh from granny’s garden depending on the season) available.
